The culmination of "From Scratch: Tasting the Tenderness in Food Production"

A project by Yixuan Pan

The performance concludes, but the ritual continues. Gather around as the dumplings crafted on stage are cooked in a central, boiling pot, transforming it into a living, bubbling centerpiece. To the hypnotic sight of the simmering pot, a soundscape unfolds—featuring music by Harlem Chhun and a live DJ set by Silong Chhun. This auditory collage builds a profound connection to the journey from labor to nourishment, deepening the sense of shared anticipation.

Supported by the Asia Pacific Cultural Center, the University of Washington, Tacoma, the City of Tacoma, and Tacoma Art Museum.
