Bongsan Talchum Korean Dance Workshop
Creative Movement • Cultural Heritage • Performance
Experience the beauty, artistry, and expressive storytelling of Bongsan Talchum, one of Korea's most celebrated traditional masked dance forms. In this exclusive three-day workshop, participants will explore the movements, techniques, and cultural traditions that have been passed down through generations.
Led by acclaimed instructors Kang Woo-Jong and Yoon Won-Joong—both graduates of the Korea National University of Arts and certified practitioners of Korea's National Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 17—this workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from master artists visiting from Korea.
Whether you are a dancer, performer, cultural enthusiast, or simply curious about Korean traditions, this workshop welcomes participants of all experience levels. Through guided instruction, you'll develop movement skills while gaining a deeper appreciation for the history, symbolism, and artistry of Bongsan Talchum.
The workshop concludes with a special showcase performance on September 26, where participants will have the opportunity to present what they've learned.
